Jammu and Kashmir Forms Committee for Recruitment Rules

The Jammu and Kashmir government has taken significant action by constituting a high-level committee focused on developing a Single Window System to process Recruitment Rules efficiently. This initiative aims to streamline recruitment processes and enhance government transparency and effectiveness.

The order was released on Thursday by the General Administration Department of Jammu and Kashmir. The Principal Secretary of the Public Works (R&B) Department will lead this committee as its Chairman. Among its members are top officials from several departments, including the General Administration Department, ARI & Trainings Department, School Education Department, Information Technology Department, and the Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs. Additionally, representatives from the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission and the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board, who hold positions not lower than Additional Secretaries, will also participate.

The primary responsibility of this committee includes finalizing the digitization of Recruitment Rules. By adopting an innovative approach based on the “Delhi Model,” the committee aims to expedite the processing time significantly. This model has been praised for its efficiency and effectiveness in handling similar bureaucratic processes.

Furthermore, the committee plans to incorporate BISAG-N as a digital partner, utilizing advanced technological solutions to facilitate the digitization process. This collaboration will enhance the overall effectiveness of the system and ensure better accessibility for job seekers.

The committee will also coordinate, monitor, and review the entire recruitment system, ensuring that all processes align with the latest standards and practices in recruitment. The ARI & Trainings Department will provide the necessary support services to aid the committee in achieving its goals.

By implementing this Single Window System, the Jammu and Kashmir government aims to create a more transparent and efficient recruitment process. This reform aligns with ongoing efforts to enhance governance and provide timely opportunities for employment in the region. Stakeholders eagerly await the committee’s proposals and implementation timeline as this represents a significant move towards modernizing recruitment in Jammu and Kashmir.
