Sat Sharma Slams Congress, NC for Opportunist Politics

30 September 2023: J&K BJP President Sat Sharma condemned the Congress, National Conference (NC), and other regional political parties for their ‘opportunist politics’ which he claims has stunted the development of Jammu & Kashmir and the nation. He made these remarks during the inauguration of the Namo Exhibition at Gulshan Chowk, Bandipora, organized as part of the Seva Parv celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.

The event saw the presence of prominent BJP leaders, including J&K BJP General Secretary Anwar Khan, Secretary Arif Raja, and District President Bandipora Mudassir Farooq Jan. As Sharma engaged with the audience, he unleashed a barrage of criticism towards the political alliances he perceives as detrimental to progress.

Sharma remarked, “The decades-old dynastic politics of Congress, NC, and PDP fostered an environment rife with nepotism, corruption, and favoritism. Their self-interested strategies have not only plunged Jammu & Kashmir into darkness but also shattered the dreams of countless youths in the region.” He emphasized that these parties prioritized their ambitions over the welfare of the people.

Highlighting the contrast, he asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has revolutionized India and J&K since 2014 by injecting transparency, accountability, and development into governance. “The difference between the hollow promises of the INDI alliance and the tangible results delivered by Modi Ji is evident to everyone today,” he remarked.

Sharma noted significant achievements like infrastructure expansion, economic reforms, and the promotion of social justice, attributing these milestones to a vision of a ‘New India.’ He criticized the INDI alliance for lacking genuine representation of the people’s needs, arguing that they merely serve to perpetuate a cycle of corruption.

Anwar Khan echoed Sharma’s sentiments, describing the exhibition as a tribute to Modi’s life milestones, marked by vision and sacrifice. “Unlike the INDI alliance, which symbolizes betrayal, this exhibition showcases the progress Modi Ji enamored for our nation with his leadership,” Khan stated.

Speaking at the event, Mudassir Farooq Jan highlighted how Modi’s leadership has redefined India and J&K’s global identity. He stressed that the BJP intends to disseminate these achievements to the public, equating it to a mission for progress.

The ongoing Seva Parv exemplifies the BJP’s commitment to showcasing their achievements, directly contrasting them with the actions of their opposition. Sat Sharma’s impassioned address reflects a growing narrative within BJP circles, branding rival parties as impediments to progress while elevating Modi’s governance as the catalyst for change.
