Tejashwi Yadav: INDIA Bloc’s Manifesto for Bihar’s Growth

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday asserted that the INDIA bloc’s poll manifesto will serve as a vision document aimed at transforming Bihar into the number one state in the country. He made this announcement during a press briefing ahead of the manifesto’s release.

Yadav stated, “We have a vision for the state and a roadmap for its growth. It (the manifesto) can also be called the ‘Tejashwi Pran Patra’ (Tejashwi’s Resolution Document).” The Bihar leader emphasizes the collaborative spirit of the INDIA bloc, which consists of several opposition parties aiming for comprehensive development in Bihar.

The highly anticipated opposition coalition’s manifesto is set to be unveiled later in the afternoon, signalling an important step in their campaign for the upcoming assembly elections. The INDIA bloc aims to connect with voters through commitments centered on economic growth, education, and healthcare.

While addressing the media, Yadav critiqued the incumbent NDA, highlighting their failure to declare a chief ministerial candidate or release their manifesto ahead of the polling dates. “We announced our CM face ahead of the polls and are releasing our manifesto today. What about the NDA? They have neither declared their CM candidate nor released their manifesto. They simply copy our promises,” he remarked, showcasing confidence in his coalition’s preparations.

The RJD leader did not hold back in his criticism. He targeted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that both leaders have not made significant advancements for Bihar during their tenures. “Whenever the PM comes to Bihar, he only abuses opposition leaders and indulges in negative politics,” Yadav charged, stressing the need for constructive dialogue and action.

As Bihar gears up for the electoral battle, the 243-member Bihar Assembly will go to polls in two phases — on November 6 and November 11. Counting of votes and declaration of results are scheduled for November 14. This election is crucial, as it will set the tone for the political landscape in Bihar for years to come.
